Program Report: Summer 2018

As we reach the end of 2018, we are proud to report on a year full of constructive interactions, meaningful experiences, and new friends! From international case competitions and consulting projects to internships and faculty-led programs, campus b helped more students go beyond their normal and learn in our borderless campus!

Design Matters 2018 led by Professor Susan Melsop from Ohio State University in collaboration with Professor Juliana Bertolini from Mackenzie Presbyterian University (São Paulo) the program brought together an immersive international collaboration with students from both institutions co-designing a project with leaders from @CISARTE (Centro de Inclusão pela Arte, Cultura, Trabalho e Educação), a nonprofit that helps the homeless in #São Paulo. The engagement truly unlocked the power of design — showing us all how "design matters"!

Business Honors 2018 students from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign journeyed from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, engaging in high-impact interactions with local students and companies while immersing in the local cultures — from tango lessons to samba dancing. A highlight interaction was when the cohort of 34 business honors students joined 24 business students from the University of São Paulo #FEA-USP to participate in a case competition sponsored by @AMBEV

Ibmec Global Immersion brought 72 MBA and LLM students from IBMEC to the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. The students were exposed to the Chicago business community through interactions with leaders from private-sector across the City along with constructive lectures from Quinlan faculty.

We eagerly look to further expand more opportunities for more students in to 2019 with support from our global partner community. If we can help expand your campus, we look forward to opening the dialogue with you!
