Brazil’s population of 202 million is the fifth largest in the world, representing nearly 3% of global consumers. At the same time, Brazil has the highest per capita income of any of the BRICS, with more than half of its population defined as middle-class, earning between $11,500 and $29,000 per year. Brazil is also a traditional leader among emerging markets. A BRICS member, it is now considered by many multinational companies as an essential market for truly global businesses.
That said, it's easy to understand the importance of studying business and economics in Brazil. With our Business & Economics program we will provide participants an efficient panorama of the Brazilian market. To this end, we developed an itinerary that combines academic activities with social, cultural and practical exercises. This way, the participants will have the chance to transform the theoretical and abstract into experimental learning whereby Brazil becomes your classroom.
The program is developed in two of the most iconic cities: São Paulo - the country’s economic capital and educational center - and Rio de Janeiro - Brazil's postcard city and front door for many of our Programs. Participants will have the opportunity to meet Brazilian professors, entrepreneurs, business leaders and have first-hand contact with innovative ideas and daily challenges.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
RIO DE JANEIRO
Golden beaches, lush mountains, samba-fueled nightlife and spectacular soccer matches: welcome to Rio de Janeiro. But, this city is more than just spectacular views. It was the nation's capital until 1960 and has been one of the most important economic centers in the country.
Rio is home to headquarters for many multinational companies, several state and international petrochemical, mining and naval companies, in addition to the largest number of companies in the telecommunication industry - including Latin America's largest telemedia conglomarate. It's easy to understand why the city earned the famed nickname
Cidade Maravilhosa, or "Marvelous City".
SÃO PAULO
With a population of 20 million people, São Paulo is a city of impressive numbers. The city breathes business having the largest GDP in the country, and Latin America, housing more than 60% of the multinational companies established in Brazil. No wonder the metropolis is known for its fast pace, truly embodying the city's latin motto "I'm not led, I lead".
At the same time, São Paulo is a cultural melting pot having a significant number of inhabitants from multiple nationalities, from Japan to Italy. In fact the city's population represents the largest population of Japenese descendants outside of Japan and the largest population of Italians outside of Italy. This incredible diversity translates to a colorful concrete jungle, all making "Sampa" a city of endless opportunity and possibility.

ACADEMICS
- LECTURES:
The most traditional way of learning. Campus Brasil works with top-notch universities (see some of them here) in order to provide the best content to the students.
All lectures are held in English.
- ORGANIZATION INTERACTIONS:
We don't want your students to spend the entire visit inside a classroom when there is a whole new world to discover outside it. The organization visits can vary from a dialogue with a senior manager, director or CEO to a half-day visit including a tour of the organization facilities. The most important part of any organization visit is that your students will be free to ask any question they want. Campus Brasil will send more information about the company to be visited including articles, videos, etc, so everybody can prepare questions.
Your students' safety is an absolute top priority. We live and work in Brazil and know how to safely navigate this vibrant country we call home. Campus Brasil offers the following safety measures:
-
Pre-departure orientation - As soon as the program is confirmed, we send a document with all the tips and necessary information regarding safety, in addition to logistics and other considerations.
-
Arrival orientation - On the first day we gather for a session with the group to explain the dos and don'ts while in Brazil;
-
Housing - We select accommodations in safe neighborhoods where your students will be comfortable;
-
Local coordinators - We provide bilingual coordinators that accompanies the group 24/7. That means they go out with the students in the evening, to make sure everybody is safe and having a great time. They also stay at the same hotel the group will be staying, so they are available for any emergency. For any group with more than 12 students, Campus Brasil provides 2 coordinators;
-
Emergency number - Campus Brasil has a telephone number available 24/7;
-
Safety & Crisis Management - This document is a plan that contains all for our procedures to predict risks and respond to a variety of emergency situations.

"Campus Brasil is my favorite educational travel agency in the world, and I have worked with many. In addition to arranging top-notch company visits, business lectures and cultural activities, they also took our students to social events in the evenings. At the end of each trip, my students have not only learned how business in Brazil functions, they also go home having made close friends with the people from Campus Brasil. Campus Brasil has made planning business-oriented study abroad trips so easy that I am using them for three trips this year."
