TWO-WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM IN SÃO PAULO

This program aims to enhance a your knowledge of concepts, discourses, practices and relevance of social responsibility and sustainability in modern management and corporate strategy. Through the detection of ways to create strategies focused on socially conscious development, the program will encourage you to mobilize and transform their social and environmental realities.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The course introduces learners to sustainable development and its impact on companies and people.
Learners will explore how human societies and companies need to develop new strategies and mindsets to face global challenges i. e. global warming, population increase, hungry, poverty, etc.
The program aims to contribute to an expanded view of sustainable development and, furthermore, a Brazilian sociocultural and linguistic immersion -- by incorporating Portuguese classes to better connect with the local culture. By focusing on providing a local reference frame the program will enhance your knowledge of the concepts, discourses, practices and relevance of social responsibility and sustainability in Brazilian management and corporate strategy.
The in-class format will consist of dialogues, analyses and discussions of actual case studies; while promoting activities through practicum project(s) and applied exercises in work groups. Portuguese classes will introduce grammar, vocabulary, communicative functions, and sociocultural content, compatible with A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF).

HOUSING
Mere blocks from campus, you will be within walking distance of both class and restaurants, as well as São Paulo’s famous green space — Ibirapuera Park.
Vila Mariana is a neighborhood full of sites and sounds. Home to many students, the neighborhood hosts colorful street art and meeting places.
The accommodation is a shared double-room in a hotel. Equipped with a comfortable full-sized bed, private bathroom, desk, refrigerator (mini) and television.
