"During July 2011 I embarked on an adventure that changed the way I see my future. I went to study abroad in São Paulo, Brazil for the Science and Technology in the Global Context Program. On my ten day visit, I explored São Paulo.  I learned about their history, about their science, their growing economy, but also about their culture and the warm people that treated me with kindness and respect. Our group had the experience to interact with professionals from academia and the industry. This experience helped to achieve our goal: to learn as much as we could and to be able to promote and apply what we learned to our career and our future.

My visit to Brazil gave me a new way to grow and also a new perspective on a different country. It showed me their culture, their customs, their history and their warming environment. The hosts were exceptionally organized and made it their duty to make us always feel welcomed. They optimized our time so that we could take advantage, as much as was humanly possible, during our stay in Brazil. I met new people and gained new friends that enhanced my experience and made it more memorable. I brought home with me so many memories and also a heart full of new dreams and new friends that will forever be with me
